Meeting of Five-a-side: the most important summer tournament for number of competitors at its fourth edition, a celebration of the best play of the world in the central arena surrounded by lots of fields where fierce teams will challenge each other into spectacular matches and in the evening will meet together to celebrate at parties held as successful conclusion of the meeting.

Beach Rugby Festival : two days of tackles and tries on the sand, athletes coming from all over the world, the competitiveness reaches the top-level, an event that every year draws thousands of enthusiasts. Fitness Meeting: for everyone who love aerobics and wellness, with the best presenters ready to involve you in rounds of step, Pilates, spinning and much more for 24 hours without stopping. Beach&Ball: directly arranged by Italian Volleyball Association, it's the most important beach volley event concerning the young and in the last tournament drew the attention of more than 2,700 competitors.

 

THE TRADITION

 

Bibione and its sorrounding land have known the Roman domination, then the influence of Christianity and of the Venice Republic, have linked its destiny to France and Austria finally to become part of the Italian Reign in the year 1866. The land has been reclaimed during the ages and the reclamation works have always taken into care the preservation and the integrity of this rich and fascinating land that nowadays offers to the tourists all its unchanged splendour: just from 1961 Bibione welcome its guests with warmth and kindness, qualities that are recognized all Europe around. The area sorrounding Bibione testifies to the society and the culture of a people who for ages learned to live in perfect harmony with the territory : the traditional „casoni“in the lagoon, these typical fishermen's cottages that fascinated even Ernest Hemingway, who took the inspiration for the novel „Across the river and into the trees“, are rural constructions plunged in the nature at the mouth of the river Tagliamento, not far away from downtown. These peculiar cottages testify to the old bind between men and nature and to the ancient activities linked to the river, such as hunting and fishing.
